‘The Vision’
Burning sun
Falling down the stairs
Slowly, gradually
Rivers of blood
Red and black
Flowing right with it
The vision changes
I’m in the sand
Blue sand
Out of blue sand
There come manlike creatures
Surrounding me, disintegrating me
Green grass
Is falling
From the orange sky
Sky in flames
Hanging chains
Welcoming me
Rivers, shivers,
Hues, images
Now find the meaning

It’s so Dali – like, with the various images coming and going, disturbing and haunting and also compelling you to read it again! Well done! Here’s mine this week: http://caridwen.wordpress.com/2011/12/09/drafting-personal-census/ Happy rally!
Psychedelic Visions of dreamlike phantasmagoria, from a burning sun to hanging chains from a sky in flames…fire.
the piece begins and ends with allusions to fire.
there’s an unsettling manner in tone, yet the images are appealingly interesting.
it would be surreal, but then human-like figures are introduced, so it’s beyond surrealism (as it was originally defined).
so many primary colors are imbued…this is almost a painting piece…
very interesting. I enjoyed this poem.
very evocative, vivid and powerful, great impact!
a kadeleiscope 🙂 interesting, intriguing, happy rally!!!

look at an interesting shape in the sky and find the meaning
“find the meaning….”
Well my ‘shot at it’ … is the poem speaks to me about personal loss or death …. it’s an awesome way to write about it 🙂 The images are extremely striking. I do have to read this piece several times….
Nicely done!
It might be a good idea to give the acid a miss 😉
Psychedelic in the extreme. Green grass and orange skies did evoke some old memories though.
Enjoyed reading, thanks for sharing.
Nice imagery! Evokes the imagination. Blessings, Terri
I love the structure–tercets. You write using short lines which always creates a sense of tension. I find this write clever. Good work.
Floating on a tapestry of colors that awaken the mind.

What an intense and hue saturated piece. I really like it! I, loved the contrast between the beauty of the colours and the unsettling quality of the words. Very nice!
I particularly liked the colors and color shifts.

Nice work and the picture really compliments your words
I really like this because I often have dreams that I can’t decipher.
Mix of colours brushed with a fine toothed comb, arrayed in fine lines
mezmerizing words…
Wonderfully psychedelic, and I love the last line.
