‘Uno Beso Caliente’

Let your light shine

Caliente is the sun

Shining God in the sky

I see it hiding behind the horizon

You see it rising with delight

Magico is the moon

With face like a blue croissant

I search for it on a dark night

Hoping it will take my message to you

Amarillas are the stars

In our little friends’ books

I wait for them to fall

And take my wish with their silver glow

Inestimable is this smile

Of yours my dear lover

When despite the difference of space and time

We kill the distance in uno beso caliente

  1. Caliente is the sun. say no more.

  2. ahaa 😀 that’s a very different write 🙂 beautiful 🙂

  3. true love is not bound by distance… how romantic. i love it!

  4. the moon is there for all of us to see

     windsurfer

  5. Beautiful, thanks for sharing this with us all

  6. I love the last stanza, the hot kiss and the inestimable smile, and the way they tie the whole poem together. Interesting as well how your moon choice wasn’t the round full moon many love-poems choose, but the crescent one, like a night-sky smile, leaving the visual impression of the moon watching that hot kiss. Nice One!

  7. “Magico is the moon

With face like a blue croissant” Your lines are so beautiful and earnest. I love them!

  8. Nicely ended with an uno beso caliente – a hot kiss is very cool!

    Someday Somewhere – Hope
