‘To Be’

To Be is to exist,

To feel but not be present in the human understanding,

Not to have a purpose apart from the eternal nowness.

To Be is to flow

With nature, with the universe,

To realize the depth of the words: ‘I am’.

To Be is to have no words,

To enjoy the neighbourhood but stay in remoteness,

Move freely without a particular path.

To Be is the beauty

Of being nobody, nowhere,

Of floating in the pure state of realization.

To Be is to meditate

Into the wonders of the mind’s antipodes

And to keep that state forever in the unconditional existence.

To Be is to acknowledge

The profound beauty of stillness and solitude

And of the silence of surroundings…

This poem was slightly inspired by Aldous Huxley’s ‘The Doors of Perception’ and ‘Heaven and Hell’. If you haven’t read these yet, I strongly recommend it. It’s absolutely stunning!

‘Reality in Abstraction/The Art and the World’

New city

The rock on the wall

The clock on the road

Who bites into a roll

Fights in the war

The heart is the core

Of our eternal lore

Guts may be spoiled

Clouds on the board

Drawn to explore

The art to the core

What’s gone

Will be gone

What’s wrong

Will be questioned

The world writes its words

Just how it wants

Gives new meanings to words

Borders to be withdrawn

Promises to be short

Siblings to be shot

What’s more to be born

Among artists’ dying lot?
