When a thunder broke the sunny day in half,
I was dreaming with my eyes fixed on the empty sky.
Oh, was it empty when I’ve fallen asleep,
Now dark carpet covered it.
The anxiety came with the colour of deep blue,
My dreams clouded with nightmarish glow,
The depth of the soul uncovered sharply,
Found myself begging for mercy of the black king
‘Oh Lord, bring back the sweetness of a thought!’
My dream – a nightmare,
Emptiness filled with pain
Of a heart longing for answers,
For questions not to remain.
Suddenly the wind blew taking a page away.
The page of the book of life danced its way to the grave.
In the muddy puddle the words were lost,
Never to be rediscovered,
Never to be written again.
‘Oh, dear Lord, is that what I was heading for?’
Still no secrets uncovered,
I’m standing in the middle of a storm.
Leaving the world with a smile on his face
Flew the spirit on the chilly winter’s embrace
‘Goodbye my tricky life
Go on with your unexpected dive
The space is waiting with its mysteries
So many roads to choose with no limits’
He knew the sweetness of blossoming trees,
The kisses of love, the pleasure he would miss
But the joys of the Earth were not enough
He wanted so much more to discover on his path
What he did – a lunacy, that’s what they called it
A mourning crowd was an illusion in not that little bit
The emptiness he did not feel anymore
When he realised he had it all in his hands, his proper lore
He left his cat, the rain and depressing fall
And then he announced, ‘’tis my final call’
I’m a wizard of the silent hills
I sing to the moon on the grassy slopes
I whisper spells to lizards and snakes
I point at the sky with my wand and watch weather change
I’m a fairy
I help broken hearted
With my glimmering fingers I embrace memories
And with my winged folks joyfully dance
I’m a witch
I cast spells to destroy your days
I talk to thunders and blow away leaves
I love my cats and with mice them feed
I’m a dreamer
At night I sleep
By day I weep
When I wake from slumber
And open my eyes
I rage at the skies
And call for handsome knights
I become a princess of my own reverie
And then you may finally see
Who I could really be
Wind playing with her hair
Thoughts racing through his head
Sun hiding behind the clouds
He’s taking her hand
She drops three tears
Shadows take them in cold embrace
She’s changing her mind
He’s waiting with blank eyes
Crow breaks the silence
She’s breaking his promise
He’s breaking her heart
Sand covers their feet
She turns to kiss him
He tells her he would miss her
The voice says: ‘Sheer lies’
She knows it’s true
He pretends he hasn’t heard it
Lightning breaks the skies
She pushes him aside
He falls onto the rock
Sea caresses her skin
She jumps into the waves
He looks at her half consciously
All remains still in the darkness
It was a rainy autumn afternoon. Jack was blankly staring out of the window. He was depressed. His life had recently seemed to suck in every possible aspect. He had been thrown out of the school, all his friends had left him and on top of that he had been grounded.
His parents were about to go out. ‘Go to sleep early and don’t let any strangers in.’, his mom instructed him. As pleased as a punch, he lied down in his bed.
Jack completely lost the sense of timing. He could have been lying there for hours when suddenly out of the corner of his eye he noticed a weird golden glow. He quickly turned his head to see a shining, delicate hand reaching for him. Stunned, he fell back. ‘For light doth seize my brain… With frantic pain…’, the words came to his mind out of nowhere, or maybe it was the creature, whose hand he was now watching? Shivering from head to toe he tried to catch a glimpse of what was behind the hand. However, he realised, it was there alone – no arm, no body, nothing. It was just hanging in the air, surrounded by microscopic golden pieces. Before he could notice any movement, they came buzzing around his head.
It was still profoundly dark. Jack felt deeply elated. He couldn’t remember anything from his whole life except for the strange phenomenon, which appeared in his room. All he wanted to do now was to share this wonderful story with the world, but he somehow knew he couldn’t… He knew he could never tell anyone because they would never believe him.
*'For light doth seize my brain... With frantic pain...' - a fragment from William Blake's 'Mad Song'
There was a closed door.
But people wanted more
Than they could see.
Once the duke said, ‘I implore
You to finally open that hapless door.’
No one dared from the assembly.
‘Got to see what we can score!
We want more than our lore,
We want never – ending glee!’
Then the key was found, so small.
‘Does it match the big keyhole?
Let us try and see!’
Squeaked the hinge as people roared,
‘Now it’s opened, that door,
And who did it? – we!
Now let’s see what we’ve come for.
Oh, some will have to crawl
Under our feet!’
Then the light from behind the door
Dazzles muzzles as they grow
And turn profoundly green.
Greedy trolls, now they should know
What that ghastly punishment is for!
Nothing – you all mean
Without your soul,
Without that door,
Nothing else will make your heart beam.
Dark blue eyes in the night
The proof of a different love
The proof of hidden desire
You never know what to expect
You never know what’s the secret of its heart
Shining in the mysterious moonlight
The blue rose of our love
A woman lying on the ground
Her eyes closed
Her mind open
A dark, sticky substance beside her
Revealing her story
And too hiding it forever
Lying on the grass
Warm sunbeams on her face
Struggling to be freed
Will they ever be?
A woman lying on the ground
